Google Home Not Responding? Try This
I've been having a similar issue since June, In my case, commands were not being executed In the past 8 months I've been trying to fix the issue practically everyday without success imagine the frustration. Everyone else in my house didn't have this problem. It was just me yeah, the person who set it all up and gave life to the sucker. The above made me to believe that the problem was with my Google account since my family didn't have their accounts linked to our Home setup.
When I spoke commands with a changed voice other than my recognized voice usually that of like an old lady's my commands were being executed while my wife and kids chuckle in the background. When I checked all uploaded audio recordings to my google account, they were all clearly audible and correctly transcribed into text. This eliminated the theory that commands were not being understood or interpreted correctly.
After doing that, my commands started working again. The positive thing about this workaround is that not only does it solve the issue; it also adds more privacy to your account.
